A new journey alongside 1863 Ventures
After a brief sabbatical, my focus in the year ahead is to help grow and accelerate 1863 Ventures’ mission of catalyzing wealth for the New Majority (traditionally underrepresented groups).
It should come as no surprise that my next career move is across the proverbial startup community pond. The ecosystem builder space is nascent and rising, after all. And my work and career trajectory are starting to speak for themselves.
After securing the globally renown B2C Community Award for Techstars, my passion has niched towards the Latinx community specifically since then. There are a lot of resources…in English. But what about our Spanish-speaking brothers and sisters?

I’ll be working in tandem with an elite cast of seasoned and passionate entrepreneurs, from Melissa L. Bradley, Ade Omitowoju, and Art Stevens to Emmanuel Kaska and Daniel Wright. A critical juncture in the company’s efforts to better support the Latinx community, we will be intentional about Spanish-friendly resources to grow and accelerate the good work to date.
And in true company fashion, I’m humbled to be a hispanic helping the hispanic community. As the proverbial saying goes, nothing about us without us.
